“The FA Charter Standard Programme provides a recognition that Clubs are well run, sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount. It also recognises the Club’s commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game, all of which are big priorities for both myself and The FA.”
A FA Charter Standard Club is dedicated to raising standards within grassroots football. Club development is an integral part of The FA’s National Game Strategy with the aim of improving the quality and sustaining the involvement of players, coaches, administrators, volunteers and referees in football.
In order to gain FA Charter Standard status, a club must fulfil certain criteria and present copies of the required documentation along with a completed application form which can be downloaded from the Related Documents box on the right hand side of this page.
