Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the FA Youth Award Module 2 candidates will have improved their knowledge of understanding:

– balance and proprioception;
– the reason for practice and training;
– growth and development of young players;
– learning the game;
– developing skills for the game;
– types of practice;
– warm ups;
– structuring practice;
– maturity;
– age;
– incorporating goalkeepers into your session;

Course Format
The FA Youth Award is comprised of four units based around the FA's LTPD Four Corner Model. To successfully complete the course candidates must attend, contribute to and complete all four units of study:

4. The Technical Corner

There is no formal assessment associated with the course, however candidates will be expected to consolidate the course information, prepare for the delivery of a coaching session and in the light of this, review their knowledge and experience and develop an action plan for their further development in the role as a football coach.
