The Jersey FA is delighted to announce a £25,000 three year sponsorship agreement with HD Ferries for its Representative Youth Squads (U16-U18). In addition, HD Ferries will provide free travel on all their current and future ferry routes for the youth squads.

HD Ferries generous financial support will enable the continued development of these important age group squads and particularly will enable the Jersey FA to continue attracting other international youth squads to the island.

Jersey FA President Ricky Weir said, “We are delighted to welcome HD Ferries as our new sponsor for our Youth Squads. This is a significant level of sponsorship and we are immensely grateful for HD Ferries support, which will enable to continue our development of these age groups by building on our existing games program against other international youth sides. The continuation and improvement of these games opportunities will undoubtedly raise the standards of our youth players, which is part of our overall philosophy of doing everything we can to maximize opportunities for our islands top players. We have been working for over a year to find a new sponsor for our youth group, since Capita, our previous youth team sponsors moved its sponsorship to the JFA-Capita Centre of Excellence. I am therefore personally delighted to secure this deal with HD Ferries, which effectively has enabled us to meet our initial target of securing a sponsorship deal for all of our rep teams at each level from U12 through to seniors. This is a great endorsement of the progress we are making and the confidence placed in us. We very much welcome HD Ferries on board and look forward to their involvement in supporting Jersey FA youth squads over the next 3 seasons”

Chris Howe-Davis CEO of HD Ferries added, “This sponsorship agreement underlines our commitment to supporting the communities we serve. As a young company we are especially pleased to be able to support young players in the pursuit of their ambitions. We hope our support will enable the Jersey FA to promote competition with other international youth squads and raise general awareness of the attraction of Jersey as a place to visit. We look forward to working with the Jersey FA and supporting the team in the coming years.”

Jersey FA Under 18 Team Manager Dave Walsh said “In Jersey we have a tremendous amount of talent at these crucial age groups and this sponsorship agreement will help us develop our games programme for these players. This agreement will be very beneficial to both parties and I would like to express my extreme gratitude on behalf of the players and the management teams to HD Ferries for coming forward with this tremendous support.”
