FA Charter Standard Development Club Grouville FC are the 2009 winners of the Jersey FA Charter Standard Club Award.
The FA Charter Standard scheme is a national programme recognising those Clubs who provide minimum standards in administration, financial management, coaching and club development.
Jersey FA Football Development Manager Brian Oliver said "Grouville are a model of good practice with a commitment to raising standards in football. They are extremely well run and last season provided playing opportunities for 12 different teams who competed in over 150 matches.
"The Club provide football for boys at under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 age ranges and have a pathway into mens football running three senior teams. This year they introduced a girls section providing weekly coaching sessions and entering sides into monthly girls festivals.
'They have a well thought out football development plan for the next three years and are currently working towards FA Community Club status.
"The Club should feel very proud of the professional and responsible manner in which they operate - congratulations on a well deserved award."
