Jersey FA President Ricky Weir presented the annual Football Workforce Awards at the Jersey FA Annual General Meeting held in the Don Theatre at Fort Regent on Thursday 19th July.
This years FwF recipients included Jodie Botterill (Womens and Girls Football), Fernando da Silva (Portuguese Club of Jersey), Mark Le Cornu (Jersey Football Combination), Brian Foulser (St. Peter FC), Jerry O'Shea (St. Clement FC), Dave Speed (Magpies FC) and Under 18 award winner Tom Nerac (Jersey Referees).
Jersey FA Football Development Manager Brian Oliver said "It is very important we recognise the significant contribution made by volunteers who work so hard within football. These dedicated volunteers give up their free time in order to provide opportunities for the benefit of others.
"The initiatives they are involved in can only have a positive impact in local football. They are all excellent role models and demonstrate the values of teamwork, self-discipline, good behaviour and a positive attitude.
"Many congratulations to them all and thank you to all those volunteers who provide such a fantastic service in the provision of football within our community".
At the meeting Ricky Weir was re-elected Jersey FA President, Charlie Browne and Iain Mackenzie Vice-Presidents and David Brookland Honorary Secretary.
