The Jersey FA Capita Centre of Excellence have recently completed the screening process of 185 boys who were recommended by their Schools and Clubs - 48 were selected to attend weekly coaching sessions providing three squads at U12, U13 and U14 age groups.

Centre Director Paul Renton said "It was very encouraging to see such a high level of football on display at the screening evenings. The ability levels shown by the players made it extremely difficult for us to select the three groups of sixteen to join the Centre.

"A tremendous amount of work goes into selecting the players and in particular I would like to thank all the parents, teachers and coaches who have been so supportive with this process. Also many thanks to the gound staff at Les Quennevais Sports Centre for ensuring the sessions went ahead on such excellent pitches.
