Jersey FA Change4Football Committee Supported by the Football Futures Programme
The Jersey FA Change4Football Committee was created to provide the young people of Jersey a voice in football, improving the representation of the youth at board level. The Change4Football Committee gives young people the opportunity to make a positive contribution to football within Jersey and provides an inclusive and supportive environment for members to develop their skills, knowledge, confidence and creative thinking.
There are approximately 1,500 young people playing in football in Jersey, the Change4Football committee ensures they have a voice at the highest levels of the game. Young people are the future of our game; our future players and our future workforce. Therefore, it’s vital we engage and retain them in the game from an early age to secure the future of football.
Somerset FA Youth Council consists of a group of young people aged between 16-24, supported by Somerset FA staff members and Directors. The team hold monthly meetings and each represent their local community, demographic (across local authorities) and age (16-24yrs) spread of youth football.
Discussions take place around all aspects of the local game, members are encouraged to bring up suggestions from their Club Committee meetings; suggestions are discussed and passed on to three football governing boards in Jersey. The Jersey Football Combination League, Jersey FA Executive Board and the Jersey Football Council.
