"STAY ON THE BALL IN SCHOOL"
Football plays an important role within the island's schools and colleges. Jersey FA offer in-curricular coaching programmes, inspiring new generations to love the game.
Jersey FA Collas Crill Community Programme In-curricular Coaching
These programmes are delivered in schools by the Jersey FA Collas Crill community coaches that are FA qualified and have also attained their First Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications. This is to help encourage a healthy and safe learning environment for all children participating.
All Jersey FA sessions are based on a unique FA coaching model that helps boys and girls of all abilities to grow, develop their skills and reach their full potential. The model we follow is the FA four corner model that includes four key attributes that are vital for any developing young footballer: Physical, Technical, Psychological and Social Elements. By using this model we will not only aim to help the children develop their football skills, physical literacy, gain confidence, build self-esteem, learn to work as a team and improve their decision making skills. As well as concentrating on the learning and development of the young footballers we are also aware that any sessions need to be fun and enjoyable to all ability levels and with this in mind our coaches will plan out their sessions accordingly.
