Thirty two players and seven coaching staff from the Jersey FA Capita Centre of Excellence travelled to Southampton Football Club on Wednesday 11th April.
Jersey FA CoE boys u12 and u13s played games against Saints Academy teams at Wide Lane Sports Ground near Southampton airport.
As well as playing competitive football, the players also received a guided tour of St. Mary's Stadium – with a capacity of 32,689, it is the largest football stadium in the south of England, outside of London.
Jersey FA Football Development Officer Brian Oliver said "The hospitality we received from Southampton Football Club as usual was excellent.
"These opportunities are so important in player development and the boys performed very well both on and off the pitch. The trip was a great success and both squads had a fantastic day.
"Many thanks to all the parents, our sponsors Capita and everyone at Southampton Football Club for their support.
"We look forward to visiting Southampton FC again next year".
