Jersey FA v Football Association XI

The Jersey Football Association are delighted to announce a forthcoming fixture against the Football Association XI at Springfield Stadium on the 30th of May at 7.30pm. The FA XI, formed in 1979 as the England Non-League team, will be selected mainly from players who play in the Vanarama National League, formerly known as The Conference.

Paul Fairclough will select and manage the squad, who will head to the Channel Island on Tuesday 30 May for a game which will be held at the Springfield Stadium in St. Helier.

Jersey FA President Phil Austin said; “This will be a big game and a big test for Jersey but it is just the sort of challenge that our players will relish. We are delighted that the FA have agreed to send one of their senior teams to the Island and we look forward to welcoming them here.

Jersey FA Vice President Iain Mackenzie said; “Following on from our recent fixture against Premier league Champions, Leicester City F.C. U’23s and our fixture against Panjab F.A. , this match represents a fantastic challenge for our players as they prepare for the Island Games in Gotland. I am confident that this match will also capture the interest of Jersey football supporters.

Jacksons General Manager Andrew Searle Said “it is an honour for Jacksons to be the official sponsor for these exciting fixtures that we are fortunate enough as an island to watch.”
