Jersey FA U18's & U21's Host Northern Ireland U18's SFA

Northern Ireland SFA U18’s were in action on Monday night as Jersey FA U18’s hosted them in the annual Lynne Nicholson Memorial Trophy. Northern Ireland U18s started quickly testing Jersey FA U18 Goal keeper Donaldson, who made several good saves during the match. The deadlock was broken by Callum Ferris, who’s right footed shot found the bottom right hand corner. Jersey FA U18’s had attempts through Robert Martins Figueria. However, it was Northern Ireland U18’s who scored next, a well worked cross from Coyle found Carroll at the back post, who headed the ball into the bottom left hand corner to give the visitors a two nil lead at half-time.

The second half started with a snow flurry, both teams played on through the conditions until, Northern Ireland U18's struck again this time through, Pablo Andrade. A well worked run and finish striking the inside of the far post. Jersey FA U18’s did pull one goal back at the final whistle. Max Rivers was on hand at the end of a goal mouth scramble to give the Jersey FA U18’s a goal. The 18th annual Lynne Nicolson Memorial trophy ended 3-1 to Northern Ireland SFA U18’s.

On Wednesday night Jersey FA U21’s took on Northern Ireland U18s SFA in a game of few chances Northern Ireland won 1-0. Carroll got the final touch on the ball after from a Northern Ireland corner.
