"Jersey FA Ready Ahead of U18 Muratti Final"
Jersey FA U18's are "well prepared" according to CoE u18's coach Steve Coutanche ahead of the U18 Muratti Final this weekend.
Last year witnessed a tremendous performance from Jersey FA u18's as they won 1-0 St. Peters Jake Prince snatching a late goal in an typically exciting Muratti match. Goal Keeper Daniel Birrell was named man of the match after an outstanding display.
Jersey FA u18's Link Asset Services CoE Coach Steve Coutanche said; “We are looking forward to travelling over for the game this weekend against Guernsey u18’s which no doubt will be another tough challenge for our players."
"I would say that Guernsey start as slight favourites given home advantage, that said our players have prepared well and will certainly give a good account of themselves. We have been very fortunate to have had a strong programme during the season with games against Norfolk u18’s, Fulham u16’s, Northern Ireland u18’s and Southampton u17’s. These games are invaluable to us as it provides different challenges and assists with the players development.
I am confident the players will approach the game in a positive way and if they perform to the levels they are capable of then all being well they will retain the trophy we won last year and bring it back home to Jersey”.
