Jersey FA would like to announce the appointment of Fiona McKinnon-Fox and Chad Morris as the new joint Head Coaches of the Jersey FA Women. The decision comes as Jodie Botterill informed Jersey FA officials she is stepping down from her role as Head Coach to resume her playing career.

The 2016-17 JEP Golden Boot Winner and former Jersey FA Women’s Captain said; “I have enjoyed my time as Head Coach of Jersey FA Senior Women. However I have missed playing the game. During the Gotland Island Games, I tried to combine both playing and coaching roles but found it difficult to give 100% to both. I hope to continue my coaching once I have finished playing, but for now I still want to enjoy the short time I have left on the pitch.”

Botterill added; “Having worked with both Fiona and Chad, I know they are both very experienced, knowledgeable and have passion for the game.”

Jersey FA Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Luc Desbois said; “I am delighted with the promotion of Fiona Mackinnon-Fox and Chad Morris to joint Head Coaches. The JFA is confident we will see continued progress of our Senior Women’s team under their coaching.”

Jean-Luc added; “Both the Women’s coaching team and I are absolutely thrilled with Jodie’s decision to get her boots back on. We believe this will have a positive impact on the pitch by strengthening our side and helping the on-field development of our young squad.”

Mackinnon-Fox & Morris take charge of Jersey FA Women with immediate effect and at an exciting time, having just agreed a new sponsorship deal with Nedbank Private Wealth and with the Yns Mon Tournament to look forward to at the end of the 2018-19 season.
