Players Development Centres travel to St. Malo for the annual fixture against the French District of Ille-et-Vilaine.

Jersey FA’s Centre of Excellence u15s and Player Development Centre (girls) u16s continue to gain valuable experience through fixtures this weekend against the French district of Ille-et-Vilaine. These fixture were first established in 2010 and represent an excellent learning opportunity for both sets of players.

Jersey FA Football Development Manager Brian Oliver said; "All our players, coaches and parents are really looking forward to the annual games against the District of Ille-et-Vilaine. These games are against a district ten times the size of Jersey which includes professional Clubs such as Stade Rennes and US St. Malo - a number of the district players are attached to these Clubs.

"Our youngsters will therefore compete at a higher level than they are used to on the Island and the trip will provide an insight into how football is organised and played in a different country. We view these exchanges and an excellent opportunity to experience a different culture and make friends with our neighbours in France. We continue to consolidate our links in Britanny and Normandy to give our players a wide range of competitive playing experiences.

"Many thanks to our sponsors Link Asset Services, Jersey Sport, parents of all the players and our coaching staff who make these events possible."
