Cassidy Announces Squad for Semi-Final

Squad confirmed for Inter-League Cup semi-final, taking place on Tuesday 27 April.

Fourteen months after beating Southern Amateur League 2-0 at Springfield Stadium, Martin Cassidy and his Jersey Football Combination side are set to travel to Dorset for the semi-final of The FA Inter-League Cup.

The squad is made up of players from a mix of local Jersey Combination League sides and will face Dorset Premier League on Tuesday night (27 April) at Bridport Football Club’s St Mary’s Field, kicking-off at 7.45pm.

Cassidy said: “We are excited to get the squad together after a long time apart. We are raring to go and ready for the game.”

The winner of the tie will take on West Cheshire League at the National Football Centre at St George’s Park on Sunday 9 May.

Cassidy added: “To play at St George’s is good motivation for the players but we have to concentrate on the semi-final and do our jobs to win that game with no distractions. We have a good squad together and we can’t wait for the game now.”

There will be updates on Jersey FA’s social media channels throughout the game.

All at the Jersey FA would like to wish Cassidy and the players the best of luck.
