"guide and support the next generation of Jersey Referees"

Jersey Referee Committee Mentor Programme

The Jersey Football Association Referees Committee operates a mentoring program which is designed to support referees through their first season. A Jersey FA trained mentor can help a new referee improve their basic match control skills and boost confidence through advice and feedback on developing certain areas, but also by highlighting good points and strengths. These are relayed verbally during the breaks in a game and upon completion. Any concerns a new referee may have can also be raised and discussed. Ideally a mentor should have some ‘referee’ experience. If you are interested in becoming a mentor please contact Paul Daniel.

There are plenty of opportunities for people to volunteer as part of the Jersey FA Referee Committee. If you are young person or an ex-referee and you would like to volunteer in roles such as;

  • Clubs Linesman
  • Referee Committee Member
  • Discipline Committee Member
  • Referee Mentor

Contact Paul Daniel for more information.
