Jersey FA Annual General Meeting 2016
Our Jersey FA Annual General Meeting took place at Springfield on Thursday 30th August. There were some exciting new announcements and changes on the Jersey FA Board of Directors. Mickey Timms and Charlie Brown stepped down with, Gavin Fraser, Bob Lawrence and newly elected Vice president Kerry Petulla joining the Board.
Kerry Petulla becomes the Jersey FA's first ever female Board member in 110 years. In addition to contributing her business knowledge and acumen to the Board, Kerry will also provide a voice for women's football having had first hand experience of playing and working in women's football in Jersey. This news come as Jersey FA announce the first back to back fixtures for the Jersey women, Godalming Town FC on the 21st of August and USSM on the 30th of August.
Combination clubs also had reason to celebrate with the announcement of the One Foundation's grant of £20,000. The money will be used to develop clubs at grass roots level and continue to raise standards in Jersey football. These awards were presented by OneFoundation Trustee, Steve Jacobs.
Finally, the Jersey FA Charter Standard Volunteer workforce awards were handed out to local volunteers in the community. Dave Maine (St. Brelade FC), Mary Pack (St. Peter FC), Neville Ahier (St. Martin FC), Mark Lilley (St. Clement FC), Bob Richardson (Jersey FA) and Holly Muirhead (JFA Capita PDC). Finally, there was a special award from the FA for Terry Roche for the long term service he has given to football.
