Jersey FA Link Asset Services Centre of Excellence u12’s development programme continues this weekend with a  trip to Liverpool FC’s Melwood Training Ground ahead of a fixture against Liverpool FC Academies u11s followed by a coaching session led by LFC Academy coaching staff.

Jersey FA Centre of Excellence Manager, Paul Renton said;

“Following a number of meetings earlier this season including a visit from LFC Academy staff to Springfield Stadium, we were delighted to be offered the opportunity to take a team up to Liverpool to visit Melwood and play a game against an LFC Academy team.

"These off-Island fixtures give our youngsters the chance to travel and compete together as a team and allow us to cascade our playing and coaching philosophies on and off the pitch. Our values, pride, integrity, excellence and collaboration are very important to us and we will use the weekend to build on the great work done with this squad during their first year in the Centre.

Such links are only possible with the support of the parents of the players and our sponsor Link Asset Services who provide us with the necessary funds for these trips to go ahead.

"We look forward to an enjoyable weekend and to hopefully build a relationship with Liverpool FC Academy to be able to work together in the future."
