Sanctioning Process Now Open for Friendlies, Tournaments and Festivals in Jersey

Sanction your team's friendly now to make sure it's covered by insurance

Jersey FA is currently accepting applications to sanction friendly matches and tournaments/festivals for the 2021-22 season.

Whether this is during pre-season, adding addition fixtures or celebrating the end of the season.

Why Do I Need To Get My Friendly or Tournament/Festival Sanctioned By The JFA?

Firstly, for insurance reasons. For insurance to cover your fixture, we need to know it's happening, and both teams need to have affiliated to the Jersey FA for the 2021-22 season. If either team has not affiliated, or you do not intend to play in the correct format for the age group, you will not be covered by our public liability or personal accident insurance.  We also need to know that your club is taking the COVID-19 guidance seriously, and has followed local government and FA guidelines by appointing a COVID Officer and having a Risk assessment in place.

How Do I Get A Referee For My Friendly?

If your friendly has been sanctioned you will be able to appoint a Jersey FA registered referee. A list of referees who have expressed an interest with officiating friendly matches will be sent with your confirmation email.

You can contact a referee directly, if you have their contact details, confirming to them that your fixture has been sanctioned. If you are struggling to find an official, please email and we will circulate your fixture information.

Registered referees are reminded they should only officiate sanctioned matches.

How Do I Sanction My Friendly or Tournament/Festival?

The form, which should be completed by the "home" club, takes just two minutes to complete. Please submit at least 48 hours prior to your fixture or tournament/festival. Confirmation that your request has been sanctioned will be confirmed by email and friendly matches will be listed on the Full-Time website.
