The partnership is one of the biggest sponsorship deals in its recent history. The Channel Islands' largest car retailer, Jacksons, has committed to support the JFA's Football Development Programme. The sponsorship covers the period 2013 – 2016.
The JFA currently invests significant resource to grass roots football, for the benefit of around 3,000 participants - this includes support for learning disability football as well as the training and development of players, coaches and referees. This Sponsorship deal is a significant endorsement of the JFA and will help maintain their goal of delivering football and coaching excellence across all age groups and genders.
Jacksons MD Paul Collier commented "We have been aware for some time of the great work that the JFA is doing within the community. Their training and development programmes make football available to a wide and diverse audience and their professionalism is highly regarded. Jacksons is partnering with the JFA because it will enable us to contribute significantly to the development of football here in Jersey- it's a real privilege to be part of the team, because its a genuine opportunity for us to connect, not just in a practical way, but also emotionally, with the thousands of local families who play and support the game every day of the week"
JFA President Phil Austin commented The JFA has a fantastic development programme which is supported by a number of important local and international brands and Jacksons sits right up there with the very best of them. I am thrilled and honoured that they have joined our team. As well as the obvious financial benefits that their support brings, they also have some exciting new ideas and initiatives which we believe will significantly benefit Jersey football."
