If so, then make sure to put Saturday 25th March in your diary because the Jersey FA are delivering the perfect workshop for you!

The Stepping over the Sidelines workshop is designed to offer parents, guardians, helpers, assistants and young leaders (14+) the opportunity to have a first look at how you might be able to get involved in football.  

If you’ve ever considered volunteering, but don’t feel like you ‘know enough’, this workshop is for you!

Ever thought to yourself…“I don’t know much about football because I’ve never played”, or “I don’t watch football so I don’t know any rules?” Well in this workshop we will explore all of the skills, attributes and knowledge that YOU DO have, and how these can be transferrable to football. 

Stepping Over The Sidelines will be delivered by Mark Leigh, The FA’s Regional Women & Girls Coach Development Officer on Saturday 25th of March at Springfield Stadium 9:30am-11.00am. 

The workshop will consist of a theory based workshop from 9.30am – 10.00am, followed by a practical workshop from 10.00am-11.00am.

The theory based workshop will take place in the Springfield Meeting Room and the practical session will take place outside on the 3G pitch.

By the end of the workshop you will also receive guidance in relation to what the next steps might involve, which could include: 

- The BT Playmaker by England Football online course (IT’S FREE)
- Introduction to Coaching Football course
- Getting involved with a local club, recreational football session or Wildcats provider – perhaps as a coach, assistant, helper or volunteer.
