There has never been a better time to join the Women & Girls game in Jersey

At Jersey FA, we want to engage with female players of all ages and help them get involved in the beautiful game. Within the Jersey FA Business Plan growing the female game is a key priority. Working with key partners; Jersey Sport and the Football Association in consultation with our stakeholders our key areas of Focus are.

Key focus areas

  • Develop a competitive player pathway from minis through junior football into the senior game.
  • Continue to develop a coaching and games programme for identified talent through the Jersey FA representative programmes.
  • Provide a programme of coach education to meet the needs of the female game.
  • Effectively promote the Women’s and Girls’ game.
  • Continue to consult with key stakeholders to develop more detailed actions regarding the progress of girls through junior football and into the senior game.

Women & Girls FAQs

When you sign for a club make sure you have paid your Jersey FA registration fee (£35). This is mandatory and ensures that you are insured should you get injured while playing for your club.

If you are aged 16+ and would like to take part in Senior Women's football. Within the Jersey Football Combination Women’s League there are four local clubs that represent Women’s football in Jersey; Grouville FC, JTC Jersey Wanderers FC, Rozel Rovers FC and and St Lawrence FC all participate in 12 league fixtures and 2 cup competitions.

Contact the club you are considering to join, they will inform you when the next training session is available. You can give a few training session a try to see if you enjoy it and the club will provide you with any further information that you may need to know.

You must be aged 16 years or above to play for a Senior Women's Football team in Jersey.

Jersey Football Combination Clubs will accept players of all ability's, from first time players, to more experienced players.

Fixtures are generally played on Sunday mornings around 10:30am as well as some midweek evening fixtures throughout the season. Most clubs train twice a week between Mondays – Thursday 6 – 8pm.
