Link Asset Services has provided financial sponsorship to the Jersey FA Centre of Excellence for boys and girls and since 2006.

The JFA Link Asset Services Centre of Excellence and JFA Link Asset Services Player Development Centre are programmes for boys and girls with identified talent and potential. These player development centres are designed to help the selected players be as good as they can be and extend the player pathway through to Jersey FA representative teams.

The Centre of Excellence directed by Paul Renton, has a total of 124 players and 16 coaches. The boys’ age groups are under u12, u13, u14, u15, u16, u17, u18 and u21. The girls’ Player Development Centre directed by Jodie Botterill has a total 64 girls and 10 coaches. The girls’ age groups are under u12, u14, u16 and u21.

The boys meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Springfield Stadium and the girls meet on Friday evenings at Haute Vallee.

The Centres' aims are to:

  • provide a high quality coaching opportunity for boys and girls with identified talent and potential;
  • develop good habits in young players based around behaviour, attitude, attendance, timekeeping and practice;
  • establish a challenging and structured programme of work to be followed by all coaching staff;
  • provide qualified coaches with an opportunity to develop and gain experience as part of their continued professional development;
  • provide a player pathway in senior football and representative teams

The programmes run for 24 weeks, built around intensive structured sessions. All core skills are developed through a technical programme with qualified coaches. The players progress through the Centres to play representative football for Jersey at the various age groups levels.
