Link Asset Services extends Jersey FA partnership to 2022

• Link Asset Services has been a primary sponsor of the Jersey FA since 2007
• The partnership secures a pathway for talented players to develop in a professional and structured environment

The Jersey Football Association (JFA) and Link Asset Services (LAS) have today announced a new three-year sponsorship deal to support the JFA Centre of Excellence (boys) and the Player Development Centre (girls) on the island.

Both the Jersey FA Link Asset Services Centre of Excellence and Link Asset Services Player Development Centre provide an advanced player pathway for boys and girls with identified talent and potential.

The extension of the LAS sponsorship agreement to 2022 will enable the JFA’s team of 24 FA qualified and licensed coaches to continue to develop its talent pipeline. Focusing on technical skills and decision making, the programme aims to produce players to represent the Jersey FA at all levels.

Link Asset Services has a long-standing relationship with the Jersey FA and has been a main sponsor since 2007. With the support of Link, the centres have grown exponentially from a single group of u14 players, to one which now consists of 188 players across twelve age groups, from u11s-u21s for boys and u12-u16 for girls.

Anthony O’Keeffe, CEO of Link Asset Services commented: “We’re hugely proud to have supported the Jersey FA for more than a decade and seeing the impact that the development centres continue to have is hugely rewarding. We see Link Asset Services as very much part of the Jersey community and being able to help in the development of young football talent on the island is a real privilege. We have a great relationship with the JFA and are excited for it to continue.”

Jean-Luc Desbois, Jersey FA Chief Executive Officer comment: “The enhanced sponsorship agreement with Link Asset Services has allowed us to appoint Paul Renton and Daniel Seviour to paid roles as Centre Managers in order to continue to provide a high quality player and coach development programme. The work at both Centres, on top of that already provided by Clubs and Schools, is crucial to creating the next generation of talented players."

The funding from Link, together with the fantastic parental support we receive, allows us to offer a coaching and games programme for our best young players. It is great news that Link has renewed its sponsorship, particularly as we continue to offer enhanced opportunities for those within the women and girls’ game.
