Martin Cassidy confirms his squad for the Inter-Island Games in Ynys Mon

Jersey manager Martin Cassidy has confirmed his 19-man squad for the upcoming Huws Gray Inter-Island Games in Ynys Mon.

Zeljko Martinovic and Jonny Le Quesne - who both missed the Muratti Vase final and Jacksons International Trophy tournament - are included, with striker Jake Prince also getting the nod after netting in last week’s event.

Under-21 midfielder Joe Kilshaw is also added to the squad while Jack Boyle, who was injured in the match against Guernsey, is included in the hope that he will recover in time to play a part.

“After such a busy period of football we’re carrying a few knocks, but I’m really pleased with the strength of the squad we’re able to select for this tournament,” said Cassidy.

“We showed in the tournament last week, and in Guernsey, that we’re a good footballing side, playing an attractive style of football. We head to Ynys Mon with a firm belief that this squad has what it takes to win the gold medal.”

The Inter-Island Games begins on 15th of June, with Jersey’s men drawn against Orkney, Western Isles and the hosts in the group stage.

Chad Morris and Fiona MacKinnon-Fox have previously named their women’s squad for the tournament.
