Janet Hall Appointed Inclusion Advisory Group Chair
Jersey Football Association is delighted to announce the appointment of Janet Hall as Chair of the Association’s Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) and to the Jersey FA’s Board of Directors.
In the role, Janet will oversee the activity of the IAG, which assists Jersey FA in embedding inclusion across the game, ensuring that football in the island is a game for all.
Through directing Jersey FA on ways to promote and address inclusion and diversity in football, the IAG helps the Association reach people who feel it is difficult to access football, or feel excluded from the game.
Janet joins the Inclusion Advisory Group having previously served as Chair of the Jersey Foster Panel and is currently Head of Programme Delivery and Operational Excellence at an offshore law firm.
Born in the Philippines, Janet moved to Jersey at a young age. A keen sportswoman, Janet has played football, cricket and hockey for teams in the island, and enjoys skiing.
Janet’s role in hockey in Jersey goes beyond playing at club level, having founded Jersey Nomads Hockey Club and representing Jersey in the women’s hockey first team and over-35 side.
Janet Hall said: "I am excited and honoured to be appointed as Chair of the Jersey FA's Inclusion Advisory Group.
“Sport has been a positive influence throughout my life and coupled with my passion for diversity and inclusion, I am looking forward to contributing to the Jersey FA's mission of Football for All with a view to making football as inclusive as possible.
“Working with clubs, local groups, agencies and charities the aim will be to build a network of inclusion partners, to understand and remove any barriers there may be to players, referees, families and supporters in accessing football."
Bradley Vowden, President of Jersey Football Association, added: "I am delighted to welcome Janet to our Board of Directors. This is a key appointment for us as she has a distinguished career in business management as well as a passion to ensure that sport is inclusive in Jersey.
“As we aim to develop our new strategy for the next three years, our priority is to ensure that our game reflects the diversity within our community.
“With Janet now in place we will be much better placed to ensure we can achieve that."
