Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week

We're Supporting NSPCC's Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the important role parents play in keeping children safe and happy when taking part in sport.

Jersey FA is proud to support the NSPCC’s Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week, which runs from 2-6 October 2023.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the work that the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit does in keeping children safe and happy when taking part in sport, as well as the important role parents play.

Nikki Holmes, Jersey FA’s Board Safeguarding Champion, said: “The Jersey Football Association is proud to support the NSPCC's Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week.  This year, we are focusing on the role of parents and carers who are important partners in influencing children's enjoyment of sport and can help and support them if they have any worries by talking to their coach or the club's welfare officer. Whilst the campaign highlights this particular week, keeping children and young people safe is fundamental to our work every day of the year.

“The Safeguarding Team at the Jersey FA are always ready to listen to children and young people and their parents and carers.”

The team can be contacted by emailing safeguarding@jerseyfa.com or calling the Jersey FA office on 01534 730433.

Alternatively, you can contact our Designated Safeguarding Officer Laura MacDonald via laura.macdonald@jerseyfa.com or by calling 07829 755522.
